A Design, Renovation & Furnishings project for Fashion Designer & Artist Sara Moffat
LOCATION / The first floor of Sara’s Williamsburg apartment unfold as a classic floor through, entering in a large kitchen bathed by natural light with a court yard vista where Juliette planted a fire escape herb garden.
DESIGN INTENTION / We aimed to create a calm enclave with thoughtful details from Sara’s life travels.
A meaningful home to anchor & refresh Sara & her cats in an inner oasis sheltered from the demands & pace of NYC life.
We advocated for charm & function while picking salvage lighting & furnishing, refinishing & resizing some of Sara’s wood antique furniture, selecting a natural paint palette influence by Maine’s misty sea scapes.
We revealed the original wood floors, section of vintage wall papers, preserving & stripping original mill work, steel heaters grates & cast iron details.
This renovation was devoted to Sara’s spirit & deep calling for Maine - where she eventually moved.
FEATURED IN / Mill Magazine & Fader.
